Thought I'd start a new thread, per Taurusplopp's post on the trainer thread.

I have not been banned, but use the freeze opponent and occasional accelerate option. I used the credit option in the beginning to get 999 mil and never used it again. I DO NOT play online at all (I disconnect my network connection when I play).

As of 12/9/2018 at around 1pm EST, I was sent a message in-game stating that I was banned for 40 years. The only part of the trainer I used was the credit tool. I used it once, like 2 months ago, on the fresh save file, and that was it. They are maybe retroactively banning accounts. I have never used the auction house on this account, or attempted to use other parts of the trainer while online. No- I didn't do anything wrong using the trainer. A common theme I've seen here is to blame the user. I accept all repercussions of cheating, but nothing ****es me off more than retroactive bans.

It could be that I was banned from online play a long time ago; I never play anything online, so I don't really notice. However, I did just start the game and notice that I don't have the option play online (greyed out), so there's that.

My Gamertag was banned for 40 years as well.

It would make sense if it was a retroactive ban since I was playing for a while without even using the trainer.

The messages when trying to use online features (player-made Tunes, Paints, Auction House, etc.) says my GamerTag was banned.

I thought I would see what happens when I logged in using an old Xbox Live account (since it's a different gamertag). I went through all the solo play stuff (since you have to earn so much experience before unlocking online features), and I still can't access anything online. HOWEVER there's no mention of my GamerTag being banned. Instead it's just can not access server or server not available. But it's been doing this for a week so I think the server is just fine. (when I hop back to my original Xbox account, it *does* say specifically Gamertag Banned).

I tried switching my Microsoft account to a Local windows account as well, but same thing. I feel like my other Xbox account is being blocked somehow, but not sure what. My IP is different. Maybe the game itself has a key or something that is being blocked as well.


I'm curious because I would actually consider buying the game again to play legit and online. However, I don't want to buy it only to find it's also blocked via one layer or another.

Checking into this thread by stating i too have just experienced the 40 year ban hammer.
I dont play online like ever so it doesnt bother me but i checked the game on another account and it does not specify a ban but my original account does.

I know someone who was banned for FH4 and it carried over to FH3 where on there he cannot get online either.

The bans are delayed, i knew i was banned when i prestiged after level 200 but my mate said i was only on Level 193 yesterday on the leader boards. I was banned 7 levels ago in 48 hours.

All i used was credits, never used speed or jump or anything but i dont think it was the trainer i believe my PC is blacklisted since the last ban after all Windows 10 is Microsofts golden boy.

It is refreshing to read that nobody is of the banned members is "whining" or starting a drama but more or less grumpy accepting the ban as the risk was known.

Delayed bads are still "harder" to take I guess, because an instant ban prevents playing and investing more time in the first place (means if you knew you would get banned later anyway you might have stopped playing earlier).

What I was thinking about is this: The 99 Euro Ultimate Version just gifts you about 4 dozen cars and this game just throws cars and credits at you. You can adjust the difficulty level to win every race brainafk.
I played this game 2 days and have like 60+ cars and 3 Million credits, it is ridiculous.
So I was wondering "why" there was an incentive to cheat in FH4 anyway?

To shortcut the grind I guess? I can't think of another reason, and I feel bad for alles banned fellas here.

And I am curious: Will you buy the game again? The next Forza Horizon 5 is due around 2020 I guess, thats a long time to go (drive).

Here is how it works, at some point, when loading your save, and it IS tied to your save, it is flagged and reviewed. Once determined that you cheated your banned. You can cheat and cheat and cheat, delete your save and start over and if they haven't caught the save by then your fine.

I am one of the very few people that was not banned while using the trainer in 3, that is how I got around it as soon as they started banning I saved over my old save with a clean one and they never banned me,I GOT LUCKY, same thing here.

Its all to do with your save, upload a save that you cheated on on xbox its flagged your caught, upload when they are doing one of these sweeps on your pc get caught and banned.

One thing that I have also noticed, if you are not to the point where you are actively driving around the map with REAL players, not NPCs driving around the map but actually people playing they don't notice the save. I have an account that is in the first winter map you get and is still there after all these months as I haven't progressed far enough in the single player campaign on that account, this save has used every cheat available here and yet has not been banned. That account will never be banned because I have not progressed far enough into the game to encounter ACTUAL REAL LIFE PLAYERS driving around the map yet.

It is all tied to your save game file.
