Well, hopefully they'll be able to get a fully working "invisibility/no alarm" cheat going. But at least what we have now isn't bad.
But yeah, I remember in the original with the cheats on you could take out a guy next to his buddy and drag his corpse around, and nobody batted and eye.
Definitely helped get the perfect run, with no detection or alerts.
If you have the option on right at the start of the game, you are able to do what people are saying. You can walk right up and kill people and nothing happens. It’s people toggling it off then on, then off, then on. If they leave a body out, then of course the AI will see it if the option is toggled back of.
The option is more of a turn off the AI brain. I did not find a ‘vision’ function (or at least I couldn’t find it if it exists). While the option is on, the AI doesn’t start it’s next job, nor can it start any new jobs (i.e. ‘see’ you).
If people want to run up their XP, then toggle the option on at the start, leave it on, then go kill people and do stuff. They won’t react.
best,
Cal
Does invisibility prevent scripted events such as when doing a mission story where a target is called to a specific location?
It turns the AI off from doing things while it's active. So possibly while it's on, yes. However, turning it off they should resume their normal behaviors.

Yeah, the option basically turns off the AI, rather than making you invisible. So while it's on, you don't get people yelling at you and such, even once you're hidden away and turn it off again (unless they spot a body or something).
However you DO still get "spotted", even if no alarm is raised. The game still registers anyone who sees you while the cheat is active as actually seeing you. Which is unfortunately.
There's also the issue of the fact that turning off the AI basically makes everyone stand around doing nothing. So you can't have it on while trying to get setups going, as the AI won't move into position and such. Also, some characters get locked into poses and such while it's on (like someone leaning against a wall). While the cheat's active you can't actually take them out, as the AI needs to be running for them to actually register the hit and fall over. So you can actually sit there punching a guy who's relaxing and he will just sit there. lol
But still, it's appreciated that we at least have this for now. If a proper vision/sound cheat can be made, that's awesome. If not, I'm sure we can muddle through.

At least in Hitman 2016, the "invisibility" cheat worked better, since you could get the "silent assassin" achievement. Now, even if the AI does not react, they still see that you kill the target in front of their eyes. This prevents the player from getting that achievement and the XP allocated to it.
Is there a way to fix it, or am I doing something wrong?
