The item editor does let you change the item but it doesn't change the stats permanently (though can change them until you reset the game).

However if you change the level of the item editor and then in the item world advance even 1 level or increase 1 level, the weapon stats will upgrade to whatever they would be assuming you grinded normally.

For example, if you set a weapon to level 80, then go in the item world and increase to level 81 and leave, the new permanent stats of the weapon will match the same as going through 81 levels manually in the item world for that weapon. So basically its an easy way to max out weapon stats at base.

Does anyone know what the mastery EXP modifier actually modifies?

I've had some success changing the item stats for the item completion part via making, selling, and then buying it for the records. easy to do for the basic items, once you get the hang of it. Item editor is pretty cool.

However, there's 2 parts i have some trouble with, the first 1 is that the more uncommon items have item codes that seem harder to find, thats more a thing of not knowing the codes though.

The second is duplicating skill scrolls. Am I missing something there? Has anyone had any success duplicating the scrolls via editor?

I'm not able to replicate this. Can you go through the steps you take for selling the customized items so the stat change is permanent? For me they just revert back to normal.

sorry if i was unclear about it, the changing item id stat only pertains to the completion record.

I.e. You buy a thimble. If you change that thimble id to that of say a thrimhurse. a rank 40 first item. you can buy that and then sell it to make it permanent. any stats on that will not change though once you close the game. Basically, this is mainly beneficial more for the people who dont want to look around for items to complete their item glossary ingame. This is more for looks and name of item more than the actualy stats.

Thats stats like hp and mp etc gets reset. go through item world to make those more permanent.

I tried to download the latest Disgaea 5 trainer 11.11.2018 version but all I get is a readme file only with no trainer file showing up and I turn off my firewall and turn off antivirus real time scan

I just turn off my firewall when downloading it now it is showing up for me

The options to modify the HL has zero impact on my game. Everything else works as advertised. I'm wondering if there is a capture problem as I have seen multiple people ask about this but I didn't see a solution for this (if I missed it please let me know).

The "Change HL by" option changes the value in the editor by not the game.
I've tried waiting to see if the advancing of the customer level had some impact both with the drop-down editor and the "Change HL by".
I've tried starting a new game.
I've tried re-downloading the trainer.
I've tried manually running it as administrator.
I've tried standing on my head (I didn't expect this to help but was worth a shot).
