Add the trainer and work folder to your anti-virus exclusion list. And run as admin
C:\Users\[YOUR NAME]\Cheathappens\
Tried it, still not working. Very unusual as I've just been using the State of Decay 2 trainer and that was fine.
There's not even any notification on my AV to say it would be blocking it like there usually would be if I hadn't disabled the modules.

delete it and try a fresh one and clear your temp folder
I re-downloaded it just now and tried again and now I get an "Error" box which then leads to a Debug Log asking if the game is protected by anti-cheat?
Exact wording:
Error: 0 : External component has thrown an exception.
Error: 0 : Failed attaching to process. Is the target secured by anticheat software?
Attached a file showing the Error box before the Debug Log.
Edit: Didn't even close the trainer and just tried activating again and it worked. Not sure what went wrong but it's activated now. Everything is working fine

Using the right trainer for the right version, there is 1 for STEAM and one for WINDOWS STORE
Yeah I was using the correct trainer, as I edited in it started working after the Error. It seems it was my mistake of trying to activate it just before the "Main Menu" where it asks you to press any key to start or something.
