Thanks for taking the time both to read and understand my post and to provide such an informative response. What you are saying is really making the game appeal more to me.

I love the basic premise of the Assassin's Creed series, an ancient secret war between factions taking place across the world and throughout history which shapes much of human history. It's just the implementation, here's a chase mission, here's a stealth section, find all 8 trillion of the collectables, climb big towers and then if you're really really good we might let you kill someone that's remotely important well after we've destroyed immersion completely by pulling you out of the experience so you can roleplay 'random IT contractor number 45' in some office block somewhere, because let's face it, nothing screams exciting heart pounding action like slowly walking between software developers work spaces and checking to see if they've left an email that you can read.

Don't get me wrong the Assassin's Creed games are impressive it just seems that someone somewhere has actually put time in to thinking "hmmm this is all great but can we find a way of changing this in such a way that will really **** off this Chris guy specifically? Can we find out what he really hates and then add all that stuff in to the game just to annoy him specifically?"

I'm also conscious of what a few reviewers have said about Ubisoft including a lot of grind which they have 'solved' by giving player's the 'choice' of spending money on microtransactions. I imagine that the trainer provided by CH can be used to effectively negate this?

people with the trainer use it to level up to max (50? not sure), so yes you can bypass xp totally, the game adjust to it and all is at your level, just in case ask in the trainer topic you will have more info from someone that has use it.

Personally I didn't use I didn't feel the need to it, but I like the sense of progression of the level up, and the zones are level oriented so you get an idea to what to do first without breaking too much out of intended path by the devs.

Some skills are locked by the story progression , others just by level.

Level up to max will mitigate the need to upgrade your weapons and armors (like in origins you can upgrade a level 1 epic to the max if you like it) and unlock at the start all the engravings to inscribe on weapons and armors (they all have a slot for a bonus you choose and can swap it anytime you want with a blacksmith)

for me every time I level up I have new quest popping around and a new batch in the dailies optionals, not sure the impact could have to have all to max.


The online store for me is disabled not sure why in Europe is all strange lately .

From the trainer I used the life (god mode) just before an unfortunate death like a potion, to avoid a reload, once the gold one (you get plenty to buy whatever you fancy) , and if short on supplies the materials for upgrades, so I can avoid being a miner of resources , if I want to be a miner I play a mine simulator.


PS you can disable the lock on for markers in quests (explorer mode) and complete exclude the interface for the radar (enemies on the map and so on) if you want to find location on your own... or not

I've decided to give the game ago. I always wanted to want it. I guess if I end up hating it I can just go around Sparta kicking people whenever I feel like it. I'm in the mood to do that often enough anyway.
