I can confirm that orichalcum ores are server stored. When I went offline, they simply disappeared from my game, but when I get back online - they reappeared again. It seems Ubisoft really want us to either spend real money or grind for hours, and they learned their lesson after Origins.

I also read this:
"tried disconnecting internet in the middle of scans and the entire resource just disappears in the menu, its stored online."

Orichalcum, so far that I have seen, cannot be bought from the store; it is only earned through finding them on the map or online generated missions. That said, I think the vendor that accepts Orichalcum sell items that you can find from the store, much like Nomad Bazaar in AC:Origins.
You turn in 10 for random items. It's most likely a way to force it to be server sided so that people can't do what they did with origins and just hack the cash and have the time of their lives. Instead, they want more $$$$$$$$$$$$. 100-150$ collectors edition that already has helix as a form of pay 2 play isn't enough for them lol
Is anyone else having an issue with the unlimited underwater breathing. The option is activated but my breath meter still depletes, I don want to risk dying.
ReverseLegSweep said that it needs to be toggled on a few times to get working when I asked earlier about any weirdness or issues that I might need to be aware of before the game launched on steam. Seems like that was it. Hope this helps!
I've found that the Underwater Breathing option sometimes needs to be pressed more than once, but it does eventually activate properly, and there doesn't seem to be any detrimental effect to leaving it on after that.
Hope that helps.
Haha, I was just posting that you said this.. 9 seconds later.
