I have the origin version 1.02, and the trainer won't activate. It doesn't matter if I launch the trainer or game first, nothing at all happens when I hit F1. When I get the other versions (steam, retail) of the trainer it says trainer cannot find game. The origin version just does nothing and is silent.
Are you running the trainer As Admin?

Okay, I've just spent a bit playing the game from a fresh install via Origin.
So far the following are tested as working:
Super Health
Easy Kills
Unl Ammo
No Reload
Add Paragon
Add Renegade
Mini Game Timers
Instant Power Cooldown
Tested via origin, Mass Effect 2 Deluxe Edition, Windows 10 x64.

Hah, that worked. Why didn't I think of that?

Just a lucky guess. 😉
DarkTAO did the heavy lifting and tested the trainer options for ya, too.
Have fun. A lot of players think it's the best one of the series.

"Try running the trainer as admin" is the CH equivalent for "have you tried turning if off and on again?" from the IT Crowd. It is something easy to overlook doing, but works quite often. It's usually my first goto when having issues as well.
Don't forget (if you're an nvidia user) to force on graphical options in the Nvidia Control Panel if you want better options. Mass Effect 1 and 2 could force on a few options that make the replay experience even better. Having played the series literally for more than a thousand hours, I get the appeal of playing for the 100th time.
I did a Massive Mass Effect Marathon a number of years ago. No regrets at all. Completionist'ing the entire series was great.
