OK - easy enough as I only had the new game I had mentioned previously.
The attached save game file has my save at the old Skara Brae guild hall totem just before I used the trainer to level up (playing as a custom made bard) - just use the CH trainer to level up and add your remaining skills after seeing the Review Board, then go and try to save at he Guild Hall save totem (or exit the guild and try to save at any save totem as you play the game) and the game should immediately crash upon using totem.
I might add that I had increased the level to 25 in the guild and used the level up (numpad 5) to gain the extra points. Always worked with the old trainer - may have been the cause of my "totem save" crashes now

My savegame was located in my c:/users/user/appdata/local/bardstale4/saved/savegames.

you guys are wanting me to fix a broken save? none of my saves do this with the use of the trainer options..
I can confirm that trying to load your save crashes the game. I have zero ability to fix this or tell you why..

FYI,
Well, there is a new update again(7,1 gb), not sure if the trainer is still working. Gonna check tonight. Will report a trainer update if needed later.
UPDATE
Still seems to be working fine after the new patch, at least for me.
