I'm having the same problem. The trainer was working just fine then just yesterday, nothing worked. Trainer says, "Trainer activated", and all options say activated but nothing happens. I dont remember a update on Steam for the Game
Since day 1, when I installed the game and trainer on the 14th, none of the features have ever worked for me.
Delete trainer and all files in
C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\AppData\Local\Temp
C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\Cheathappens\Work
C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\AppData\Roaming\Cheat Happens\0x90
Reboot PC to clear excess memory, get a fresh copy of latest trainer and
make sure trainer in is folder excluded from virus scans. Empty quarantine folder if needed.
C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\Cheathappens
may need to be added to exclusions as well. Run trainer as admin and try again.

Even downloading the newly released version of the trainer, functions did not work until I tried your suggestion above. Thank you CyPHeR369. All seems to be working now.
trainer still doesn't work for me
i tried what CyPHeR369 suggested but no luck
i tried unlimited ammo, money, skill points and underwater breathing
What is your game version and platform, what is your anti-virus, does the version of the game match the trainer, are drivers on your system up to date? Need as much info as possible.

Disabling software, especially when it's security software, doesn't necessarily mean that you terminate all of its running processes at once when just disabling, ie real-time scan.
Please create the suggested scan exclusions either in ESET or AVAST as described in the trainer's instructions, disable any automated options that decide what to do about a flagged file and set them to let the user decide, clear your software's quarantine and scan history, reboot and try again.
my game folder is already excluded from scans
don't have automated options for flagged files, it's already user controlled
also i didn't have any anti-virus issues with other trainers

Same here. I already added those exceptions way before turning off the antivirus software. No issues with other trainers. Although, I haven't tried to turn off the UAC (User Account Control), I can try it later tonight. I rather not to keep my comp safe but I'll try it.
