So, I herd that Story Mode is online only. Anyone know how that will work? Isn't My Career mode single player and tied to Story Mode? Or is My career still accessible offline but without the garbage cut scenes. <-- I hope that's the case because I can't stand story mode but love My Career so if all I have to do is play in steam offline mode to avoid cut scenes I'm excited!

So, MyCareer offline skips all the story stuff. You just make a dude and pick a team. Level ups are different, too.
Online has the story and cutscenes and stuff and uses VC for progression.

The story is actually pretty decent this year. The best story compared to the past few years. But yes, the story and VC is online only.
