Going from that link and following the instructions on the first post of page 5 (of I'm assuming the replies), the last step mentioned that after selecting the file you just created that an error should prompt. I didn't receive any error, let alone any acknowledgment that it responded apart from closing the window but nothing happened after that.

Then you did something wrong as this definitely brings up an error message.
Have you named the new file and its extension to something bogus, ie like mentioned in the post -> Test.testdog ? Have you selected this file then when you search for it in the Explorer window?

Okay then I'm confused, am I supposed to try and open the trainer with the file I created? Cause if that is the case there is no option of "open with" for any of the trainers. I mean that is my problem after all, that just the new trainers are instead opening as ComicRack and not the proper file that they are, which alone is just odd. I haven't changed anything on my computer between the last time I downloaded a trainer (back on August 3) all the way up until earlier today before I did so far everything you've suggested. So I'm totally lost as to why this would even happen when nothing on my end changed to cause this to happen in the first place. The last trainer I downloaded back on August 3rd was for South Park The Fractured But Whole, and even running it now it works fine with no trouble. But the so-far two trainers I downloaded for now 60 Seconds and Galactic Civilizations III both instead bring up ComicRack that I want to say I uninstalled and yet it still comes up.

Then please read #2 here -> Link and delete the .exe extension folder in the Registry - make a backup of your Registry first.

Okay, finally some progress, it no longer opens ComicRack, but then it also just doesn't open at all. It starts to load showing the "CheatHappens" logo as it's trying to load the trainer but then nothing, no additional window or anything pops up. So sadly it goes from one problem to a different one...just my luck.

Now please open Windows Defender and delete its scan history and everything you might find in its quarantine, create a scan exclusion for the Work folder which is located here -> C:\Users\YourWindowsUserName\Cheathappens\ and probably one for the trainer exe file or the folder you store our trainers in.

I'm not sure what to do in this situation, I tried to find just Windows Defender, but for some weird reason when I go to my security center it says I also have Avast and BitDefender installed and active. I could have sworn I uninstalled those a long time ago, but apparently, they're still there too.

This sounds like an awful mess - install Windows new from scratch.
