Anyone know what would be high tier or top tier weapon wise, when you consider the trainer options such as infinite sharpness, ammo, and other cheats?

I'm not looking for replies such as "choose whichever you feel like"

I've been experimenting nonstop trying to find my preferred weapon, but for now, I've settled on the Long Sword.

Switch Axe is the OP weapon you're looking for with or without the trainer.

It's both and great axe and a great sword (it morphs), but it's extremely quick swinging unlike the clunky great sword (more like the long sword, but faster and more options and stacks dps easier).

With the unlimited stamina (from the trainer) you can sweep in "axe form" non stop side to side (very quick sweeps and tons of damage in a huge arc, endlessly), the frontal basic combo is nice too on axe form.

After you build up your axe form charge, you morph to sword form. In sword form get close to the boss (or line up with it) then you do the Y+B (on gamepad) combo.. it basically turns into a giant cannon (big damage... like gunlances charge shot move). You can pop 3 shots on a full charge. Then just quickly charge it up again in axe form with some side to side sweeps.

Hopefully, we get max charge option for weapons like these in the upcoming trainer updates so you can stay always charged.

Switch Axe is the most popular end game solo weapon in Japan for this game. Once you learn all the moves it's nuts. It will take practice though to be great, but it's easy to pick up the basics (just go to practice room). Once you see how good it is on everything you get hooked.

If you want braindead but broken, go the rambo route with any HBG + wyvernheart (machine gun). I recommend getting the Nerg or Jargas HBG (Jargas over the other once you have an elementless gem). I like to use two close-range mods and one for deviation so the gun doesn't jump too much but it's your preference.

For skills, your main priority should be weakness exploit / special ammo boost / maximum might in that order. Personally, I slap on earplugs as well so I can keep spraying during a monster's roar to keep the consistent dps going (wyvernheart damage starts small on wind-up and maximizes at full speed), which usually leads to a stagger or KO.

Always aim for the head/weak points so you can continuously stagger the monster. I've killed Teostra in 59 seconds because I kept KO'ing him everytime he got back up. Utilize this with inf. bowgun ammo and inf. hp and you're basically an unstoppable killing machine... and once you get your rocksteady mantle it becomes a joke lol.
