I'm trying to learn how to change savegames, I saw here are also very good savegame editors available and I thought someone could help me. CoSMOS has a savegame editor but just for RPG Maker if I get it right.
So I have a .sav savegame file, how do I now find certain things? If I open it just with notepad it doesn't look good. So can I convert it to something readable an .xml for example? Or how can I find out in which format it is convertible?
Or should I attach a hex editor to the .sav and change something ingame, save it and look which offsets changed?

The savegame editor is currently only for RPG Maker games. It is not possible to edit any other savegame files with it.
