Yeah, it will be entirely online, running on Bethesda's servers. It has PVP, so there very likely wont be a trainer for it at this stage. Private servers is rumored to be coming end of 2019 somewhere, although this may be purely speculation. I suspect Bethesda is going to go games as a service model with this. I can't see CH making a trainer for this game before then. 😭

As it says, it isn't an MMO. Just a soft-core survival game that you can play via co-op or solo.
Maybe there is hope for people who play Solo like me. I haven't seen anyone do any PVP. From all my game sessions, people always keep to themselves and play solo as I do.
Got to level 30 by soloing and will probably continue to keep playing this game solo. It's really nice as you can get involved in the story and lore from the holo tapes.
The game is based on the Fallout 4 engine, so mods and other stuff work as there are already mods on the Nexusmods. Idk. Maybe a trainer can be made that has certain functions that only benefit your solo play. Like maybe more item space or certain resources like plastic, so you can bulk your items to lower the weight cost. Up to the staff at this point. But I certainly wouldn't mind a trainer for my soloing adventure to help ease some stuff out = )

As the other user stated, Bethesda does say that it can be enjoyed "solo or in co-op", however, this statement is misleading. What they really mean is that you can enjoy the world on your own and meet people but not team up, or team up with people and/or play with your friends.
At this point, it is always online. There is no offline service to be offered. If it continues to bomb and fail, maybe they'll implement offline activity as they remove their dedicated servers. That said, at this point, a trainer would be impossible (for those of us morally upstanding... it's confirmed that there's no cheat detection server-side, so just wait for the PC version to run rampant).

Yeah I am surprised as well, since it can be played solo or multiplayer, should just make one already.

Why couldn't Bethesda just made servers for people who like survival and servers for people who like mods? That way it won't be so divisive and only cater to people who like survival games. I'm fine with talking to people online, but I hate the BS difficulty.

Think I read somewhere that they are going to make private servers after game releases but didn't say when, so hope that happens so it can be like The Forest. Also they have no anticheat and a million exploits, just saying.

Media reports indicate mod support and private servers will be available not until November 2019.
