Hi,

This game is marked as Retired when searching for it.

It's recently been released and I was hoping it could be re-evaluated, as it does not appear to be online-only and possesses a single-player campaign.

Quick answer. Because the game runs on the dedicated server.

Full answer.
We started development of the game 4 years ago. In out first plan it was supposed to be a TD game with a lot of coop and Pvp stuff. For this purpose we used dedicated server to run all game.

Later the game got much more single stuff. But the code remains the same.
To make the game available for playing offline we need to rewrite all code to another programming language. It could take another 4 years. We cannot afford it

Anyway, we are doing our best to make playing the game comfortable even for single. The server works pretty stable. Even if you have lags/delays in the game we are currently testing new option "Alternative server". It should dramatically reduces all internet troubles.

The game will soon be offline only as well, currently you can go into options and select unstable internet to change it to offline if people are experiencing lag etc. This was said in one of their news posts on steam on the 27th May

Some people could't log in the game, because some anti-virus software deleted important game files. We have made some changes in the code, so it should work properly now.

We have one very cool news. A lot of people asked for a full offline version of the game. We are working 24/7 on it . It is half done. We are expecting to finish it in 1-2 weeks.

Took them a few years, but they finally have an offline mode as of today!

Well, we tried, and despite the game being "offline", the player data is still stored online on the server(s) so impossible to train, at least in its current state. Sorry!

Most of the files go into the main dir. Either way all good, was able to mod it myself. One hit kills!! ^_^
