Please use the update notification system to report a game patch, update or to report that the trainer may not be working with the latest version of the game. If 3 or more reports have been filed, consider BOOSTING the priority of this title for a faster turnaround on the updated trainer.
There is no need for that, the problem is most likely on my end, as others mentioned here its working fine for them. Ive just got to look at the files and see what i'm doing wrong. Thanks for the help none the less.
Not sure if a coincidence but... I opened the crafting menu and pressed numpad 5 and this time it worked. After activating 5, 7 now works too.
The coincidence is called 'Please read the instructions'.
Numpad 5: Easy Crafting - press I to enter the crafting menu. Next, toggle this on. Leave the crafting menu then come back and items are craftable.

Ok it goes with out saying... I might have omitted the fact that when in menu and things you click on are red... by pressing num 5... things turn green and then you can build anything in menu thereafter and its automatically toggled on... hence you can build anything you wish like hammer... axe... spear... whatever you need to move quick at start before the shark attacks hence spear... its good to press num 8 if your version of raft allows it... thus activating all research from crafting table... to menu above... not forgetting num 1...2...3 and getting some reinforcement under your feet... lol
