I realize this sequels big selling point is coop. Which is awesome, but as a CH user this has me worried. I know they said it will also be single player too. However, I am hoping it's an offline single player and not some kind of always on connection to the master server.

I know we are still about a week out from early official release (may 18th preorder on windows store), but has there been any word yet if this game is going the way of always online single player or is it offline-able?

For anyone else wondering I finally found my own answer on an interview with the dev. The answer is good new for CH users, this game can indeed be played in offline single player mode.

Yeah, been watching the stream. he developers confirmed that you can set the game to "offline". Also seen it on a YouTube video, not that the playthrough's start surfacing. There were 3 settings under the multiplayer settings Offline, Invite only and Friends only. In offline, you can also pause the game, which is not possible in any of the other settings.

There are videos out of people playing it already and they have options of offline singleplayer and coop multiplayer type thing so, well it is press release version that have been released already.

I just unlocked the preorder game right now and I can confirm 1st hand the release version has "offline" mode in settings.
