No, there is a ship panel and it displays hull and health so I expect there will be ship fights later in the game. THe problem is that the ship you had is broken and the first chapter of the game you have to explore the island and get it repaired. This seems to take a great while so I would need a savegame where the ship has been repaired and where I can sail around and start ship fights.
However I've send the trainer to PWizard and he will post it soon. And I'll cheats for ship health once someone can provide me a savegame.
I have a file that is more advanced, I have my ship repaired, and you can travel around the map with it.
I have included all of my savegames in the zip, so you have a choice, the most recent one should be at sea.
