Sounds like either a security software prog is not allowing the changes by the trainer to be made and/or reverted or it is installed in a location different from where the trainer needs to make the needed changes. Can't be sure, would need to be sitting in front of your computer to see how it is setup.

Sorry Cal, I'm not a noob when it comes to the trainers, I've performed all the recommended procedures INCLUDING the one you linked and I'm still having crash to desktop issues with the CH trainer. I downloaded another trainer from another location and it's working fine the game does not crash, and the options are verifiable as operating properly, that tells me that it's a CH issue. as this is the second time I've been basically told your doing it wrong,dumba.. by as many people when my subscription runs out in a month I will not be renewing...

I got the trainer working correctly for a while but the latest version once used crashes the game after a few minutes(regardless of trainer used or not).

Did you verify the game cache, rebooted your PC and tried again?

Animus, when you get in game "before" it crashes does everything have a pink hue to it? this is caused by the DLL file that supposedly the Trainer does not modify, verify file integrity, let it replace all the corrupted files. but this is the exact issue I have trying to run the CH trainer with the game. Reboot, all the "recommended" troubleshooting does no resolve it at this time. according to several other sites Ubisoft snuck a patch into the mix that broke trainers, to prevent people from using them online/co-op playing.

I didn't have a pink hue I don't think. I already had a lot of money in game so I just redownloaded the game and I haven't had issues since. I do think the trainer definitely did mod game files.

It seems that my problem was solved. I looked it up and for a time couldn't find anything but then i stumbled upon a GeForce forum page that said that a driver specifically for far cry 5 was bugging the game making it crash at start up.

I rolled back the driver and the problem was gone.

Funny thing is tho, even with the buggy driver i was able to play the game without
any crashes the issue would only surface if i'd launch the game with the trainer then a reboot or turn off/on would make far cry 5 auto close on launch and only steam's game file verification would make it launch normal again which stopped working after the latest patch.

Well, regardless, now the game runs normally with or without the trainer and rebooting does not change that so i'm happy. I did, however, noticed a tiny yet noticeable performance issue that happens every now and then, like mini freezes that last about a third of a second.

But y'know what they say. We take our victories were we can. I can play game with the trainer and got no crashes so i'm good. Hopefully it'll stay this way.

Altho, in the back of my head i still think the trainer is not faultless. I don't know man. I think it does something somehow that can cause issue in specific conditions based on one's PC even when the trainer's being used correctly. But no matter. My problem was solved.

And for those unlucky like me that have weird-ass issues, all i can say is good luck bud. Now if y'all excuse me imma get the best out of FC5. Cheers \o/
