    When you say its hanging, how exactly does it look like? Is the splash screen frozen (do you get this spinning cursor icon)? Does it show at least your name on it or just the blank splash screen? What happens if you just wait for 5 minutes? Can you just download the latest trainer again and extract it to a different folder and launch it? Is there anything showing up in the windows event viewer? Has the trainer for this game EVER worked?

    I have run the file by itself after downloading from the site through Chrome. I used a different folder for that download.

    The Splash screen has the CH Cube on the left, with a purple and grey horizontal band. My username is not on the splash.

    Leaving it sitting for a few minutes simply pushes it into the "Not Responding" state and I have to either use CMD to taskkill by PID with the /F option or keep clicking close window in taskmanager.

    I am attaching a snip of the splash I see.

    Yes the game trainer has always worked until the new update, and New Dawn trainer works fine so the newer layout is not the issue either.


    Windows Event Viewer just reports the application hangs and was forced to close.

    By any chance is there a folder in the APPDATA hidden section that houses temporary files for these trainers? Clearing the trainer manager folder didn't work but I am wondering if there is something jacked up in the temp or roaming folders. I just don't know where the files would be stored or if you can say where they are stored? I want to try clearing all those and rebooting.

    Forwarded to Caliber, in the meantime you can try to reboot your computer and clean your temp directory folders and see if that helps.

    are other trainers using new template working for you?

    Can you download a new trainer for another game and test?

    Did you try to re-download? Perhaps something is blocking the trainer..

    I wanted to report that I have resolved the issue. I have also drafted and sent a very scathing email to the customer service dept for BitDefender Total Security. When the new trainer came out and suddenly stopped working, yet the one for New Dawn and all the others were ok I knew something wasn't right. I tried to re-download and clear cache, temp files, etc.. It wasn't until I decided to setup my switch with port-mirroring and run wireshark that I discovered a very disturbing truth. Even when you "disable" BitDefender till reboot, it doesn't stop.. I saw all the packets for the trainer being dropped before it ever hit the port on the switch. I made all the allow rules per their instructions. I disabled the security entirely and still couldn't get it to work. I loaded an image of my HDD prior to installing Bitdfender into VMware and then bridged the 2nd NIC directly to the OS and low and behold after updating all the relevant trainers it worked without a problem and I could see the packets at the port-mirror on the switch. So i uninstalled the BitDefender and am currently running Norton since my ISP gives the full suite for free anyway, and I know I can define rules to ignore the CH Trainer Manager and all the trainers. I have yet to hear back from Bitdefender which I am sure I won't but all the same I am glad this was able to be fixed and I am back to buisness as usual.

    Oh yeah, BitDefender is known to cause weird troubles with our trainers even when disabled and whitelisted. It happens quite some times that people say after uninstalled and switched to another AV the problem magically disappeared. Reminds me that I should more often ask about the installed AV...

    Bitdefender is usually the cause of all the trainer issues. That is one bad AV, and not just for trainers.

    When trying to activate the trainer I get the alert "Trainer cannot find game"

    What can be done to fix this?
