Suggestion on FC5 forum consolidation: Take most frequent issues and sticky their solutions near the start of the thread or in its own post. Example:
Any error that mentions fc_m64 dll is due to a corrupted EAC. This requires a complete removal of Easy Anti Cheat and re-installation of Easy Anti Cheat using the proper DLL.
"The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142)"
This is a windows installation error and has nothing to do with the trainer specifically. Make sure your C++ runtime libraries, .Net framework and graphics drivers are up to date.
Invalid memory access 3319 means that Uplay does not have proper permissions to run. This is a windows defender issue and I've only seen it happen when loading Uplay from steam. It has nothing to do with the trainer. Easiest resolution I've found is to login to Uplay on your computer and click "Remember me".
etc...
Consolidating the 40+ pages, of course, would take a lot of time, but it would clean up that forum a lot.
With you mentioning 0x0142, That wasn't necessarily true in my case - it's worked flawlessly in my case ever since I uninstalled GEForce Experience - After that uninstall, I run Far Cry 5, close it, run trainer, press F1, done like others now do. It had nothing to do with corrupted EAC for me. I deleted those files just for Steam validation to re-install them, to no avail. It took the uninstalling of the GEForce Experience program for the trainer to work properly for me.
Just an FYI, the Unlimited Ammo/Items/Throwables/Consumables option can mess up progress on the collection missions. It will count them as maxed out even if you have not collected them all and thus making you unable to grab the rest as a result of your inventory being full.
The missions can still be completed but it's mildly irritating as the map icons for them won't disappear due to you technically not picking them up.
Example: Vinyl, Cheeseburger Bobbleheads and the whiskey barrels.
Just use the no reloading option for ammo. You won't deplete ammo and the quest icons go poof.Don't know about the consumables....I don't use that one.
I've been trying all day to get it to work and for some reason I just can't seem to do it. The game runs from steam without any issues, pulls up in uplay, launches properly and runs just fine. I try running it from the trainer and it acts like it's pulling up the game, it does the steam launch and then the uplay launch and then after a couple of seconds I get "trainer cannot find game". I checked file integrity and it was okay, rebooted, launched the trainer, hit f2, set the far cry 5 directory, closed the trainer, launched the game, watched the intro, exited the game, launched the trainer, pressed f1 and it acted like it was going to launch and then, "trainer cannot find game". I read all the faqs and instructions again, made sure all anti-virus was disabled, made sure that all the proper exe files were set to run as admin, rebooted, did all the steps again and, "trainer cannot find game". I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I've been at this for hours and it just won't work. Damn ubisoft and their anti-cheat crap!
It's a known issue for at least steam users. Cal's confirmed they're working on it.
It still works for me..
AV OFF
CLOSE AND QUIT UPLAY/STEAM
OPEN TRAINER AND MANUALLY FIND ROOT FOLDER
F1 AND DON'T DO ANYTHING
IF TRAINER CANNOT FIND GAME, OR ERROR, RETRY
Usually works after second or third try.
Make sure you run the trainer in admin mode!
Tried that, 5 times. Still no luck on my end. Something must have gotten patched. It was working fine yesterday.
