Ok first of two points, congrats to CH on getting this cheat work at all, and secondly
DO NOT USE IT
I used it in a private server game yesterday and it worked perfectly, getting the 'no loot' ending I expected from the instructions.
Now I cannot connect at all as my account is 'untrusted', effectively cutting me off from the mass of players, which was not something I'd understood from what I'd read, but that is on me, NOT on CH
No one else's fault but my own, the trainer does it what it says on the tin, but the EAC system as as brutal as it is sinister
For what its worth Cal, I think when you suggested that yu might remove the trainer altogether might be wise

Make sure the game is closed. Do integrity check on the game via steam options. Then close steam.
You need to run the trainer, then close it to reset things.
Then use RESTART (windows 10), not shutdown.
Next click the EAC setup here (or where it's at on your machine)
C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer Vermintide 2\installers\EasyAntiCheat
Then RESTART once more. Likely your situation is fixed.
If you still get UNTRUSTED that means ONLY that EAC is not running in a normal environment while you are logged in. It's an EAC failure to start issue and has nothing to do with being banned or anything like that. THere are thousands of posts on steam where people who never used trainers or anything are getting all manner of EAC related issues. When it takes a system driver, two launchers, and 3 seperate .dlls to 'allow' your game to launch, there's a lot of room for problems, but that's the method they chose to stop cheating.

Avoid using this trainer for any character that you plan on playing in multiplayer. I used it to powerlevel from 27 to 30 and am stuck getting 185-195 rated gear. My level is currently 30+5 and my teammates who just hit 30 are getting the proper 200+ rated gear.
There is no way to reverse this process right now.
You need to research the loot system in the game.
level 100 power from recruit difficulty boxes, and goes up in 100 power increments.
Only boxes that dont follow this are commendation boxes which you get when you level. which you dont have because you used the trainer and got no loot.

Play harder diffculties.
There might be people around here who don't care about multiplayer at all and like to have a supported trainer for their single player games.
So asking for a retirement of this trainer is unwise to say the least.

Indeed, but I was thinking of the amount of immoderate if not downright insulting responses the CH team get. Past a certain point things are more trouble than they are worth, I think. 😀
And @Cal,
thx for the reply and helpful suggestions. I'd actually uninstalled the game as I'd written it off, maybe I will go around again later, not sure.
I don't have any problem with Fatshark wanting to stop cheating but I really don't like EAC poking holes in my system and its security, and the more I have looked at EAC and read about their code the less reasonable it seems
there still comes, trainer cannot find game.
What can i do
