If you have TRAINER CANNOT FIND GAME

For those with old OS, strange installs, using programs that are blocking the trainer or otherwise something we have no idea, Taurusplopp has suggested an idea here that may work for you.

I have no idea what this does or how it affects the game or if EAC will not allow this in the future, but for some this allowed them to use the trainer.

The trainer keeps saying it can not find the game, ran it appropriately but no go tried the work around above, still no go

The following is the debug log from the latest trainer. I have made sure that my antivirus program is not blocking the trainer - it's all green with Kaspersky. Nevertheless, trainer cannot find game.

Injection Failed. This may be normal in some applications.
However some applications this means the trainer is being blocked.

Trainer Cannot Find Program in Memory or Injection Failed.

injecting failed means that Easy Anti Cheat is still working on your machine
Kaspersky may also be shutting off your windows firewall and making a firewall of it's own.
It may also be blocking the reading of the registry.

the trainer wont be able to work if EAC is blocking it. You can try the method described above by Tauruslop to rename the EAC launcher directory then run the game and see if EAC isnt active and the trainer attaches then.

Otherwise, vermintide2.exe must not be running at all.

I renamed the EAC launcher and then attempted to start the game from within the Steam environment (using the "Play" button); when the games applet opened it would minimize and the game would not start. Then I attempted to use the application exe in the game's folder; I received the message that the Steam client must be running.

Edit: Thank you Caliber for being so magnanimous - I really appreciate all you have done. Believe me, I am not unduly put off by the fact that the trainer works for some; it's most assuredly NOT the end of the world. 🙂

NOTE! This trainer requires that the game is NOT running first!
Trainer should be run FIRST, then run game, then F1 at MAIN MENU to activate trainer.
Listen for 'Trainer Activated'.
Press desired hotkey. All hotkeys can be changed on the trainer.

If the game puts up a small window that states:
EAC failed to launch process
That is totally normal and can be closed. Click OK. <-- do you mean this minimizes,

if so just click on it on taskbar to bring it back up and click OK.
