before the crash i have the same problem with barrels (unlimited barells) mentioned before
after the boss kicked me i have normal weapon again
some seconds later while shooting game crashed
Barrel-Gate is solved by disabling option Numpad 3: Unlimited Ammo before you pick up any barrel which was already mentioned multiple times here in this thread (hint: Please use the search function).
The game crashes are very likely caused by certain characters in the game which some have mentioned here too.
There is some confusion as to what time of which day which patch was relevant as my time zone is Africa.
It is 8PM here now, and I was playing at roughly 10AM when it was working - so about 10 hours ago.
I played for about 4-5 hours, stopped to do some chores, played for another 2 hours, stopped for dinner (6PM) and when I came back the trainer no longer worked.
Trainer is at the latest version. I'm no longer certain if I updated it before playing this morning (10 hours ago) as I update as a matter of habit.
I am a lifetime member, so I'm not concerned about version change count.
