That's correct, it doesn't actually speed up your boat, it just speeds up time without affecting boat speed. It's useful for when you're heading to a net/line that you've put out but it's not quite ready yet. It can advance time for you.

I'm not too sure how well an actual speed enhancement for the boat would work with the physics of the game. I think it'd mess with it too much. That said, if you could just keep your normal speed when loaded with fish, that would be pretty handy.

Anybody able to activate the trainer with v1.2?
