So I've attempted this with multiple games.
From spore to Supreme Ruler Cold War to Medieval 2 Total War - each and every single time I authenticate and inject a trainer into the game, the game crashes usually after 5-10 seconds or commonly after I attempt to press a key.
"Maybe it's just a cheathappens thing?" I thought. I went to another website to attempt to inject their trainer into Hearts of Iron 3, same result.
For some reason trainers are causing a crash to desktop. I'm able to provide my specs if needed and I am on a Windows 10. It's very strange for me though. Never had this happen before. 🙁
E: I have attempted this now with trainers that previously have worked in the past and they do work now. I'm going to attempt a different approach and then edit again.

I'm also being firewalled for some reason.
> EE: Seems that the only one on my computer that works is Stellaris. I've attempted Spore (may be outdated, for sure) as well as Supreme Ruler Cold War, then Medieval 2 Total War trainer's. All and each in compatibility mode, without it, and in administrator and without it. Although these are retired, the issue lies with my computer and how to work it with trainers.
What do I do?
E: responded to main post in a reply since editing main post didn't work out with the firewall.

Never had this happen before.
Before what exactly? What has changed on your system? OS update, driver update, new applications, security software update, already problems with other applications on your system, etc?
Please provide some information about your installed Windows OS edition & version (Home/ Pro/ Ultimate/ Insider Preview/ 32-bit or 64-bit) and which security software (antivirus/ firewall/ anti-malware) you use. – Please name the exact versions and build numbers if possible.
Good for health, bad for education.

please see my post on F-Secure on the 19th; it may be a similar issue, new folders need to be exempted!

Win 10 Pro x64 these trainers only work in compatibility for Win 7 possibly 8. The methods used in these types of trainers I would advised you to create a directory just for all Cheat Happens related files you will d/l and use. Then you must add the directory you have the trainers in and the data directory C:\Users\username\Cheathappens to your antivirus and antimalware exclusions auto protect and sonar etc. Firewalls are also a issue because of how Cheat Happens is coded to create a temp random named file for instance ~cheathappenstrainer3091.tmp; so adding the trainer in question to the firewall allow list helps but still useless. You have to add a rule to allow the domain that the tmp Cheat Happens trainer is accessing or you will find you will have to allow each tmp file access each time you launch the trainer. I have this issue using Net Limiter Pro; there are other software that act as a firewall so keep that in mind.
