Well, I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but it won't work for me.
I activate Game Speed, and when I use the drop down the value is already at 10.00
And no matter how much I change it, it has no effect on the game.
It's really weird since every single other option works fine.
I brought this up over a month ago and was told it worked.
Still doesn't work for me to this day, every other option works fine.
Would really like someone demonstrating this working via video etc as it hasn't worked for me since one of the initial releases.
not sure why this is difficult
run trainer
run game
activate at main menu (F1, trainer activated)
load save where there is mission going on (i.e. you are playing and have a command center)
unpause the game, let it run a few seconds
toggle the Game Speed Option on
says activated
game clearly speeds up
go to trainer
click More Optins next to Game Speed
shows 10.00
Highlight 10.00 and then type 0.25 or some other value
press TAB to lock it in
instantly affects the game here
works
best,
Cal
After trying again and again to get it to work, even following your instructions to the letter, I was ready to give up.
However, I decided to uncheck the option "Fast Timers Optimization" on the Graphics Tab of the Options Menu.
And what do you know, once I did that, the "Game Speed" trigger started working flawlessly.
So, it might be a good idea to add that as a disclaimer, Option 6 will not work if "Fast Timers Optimization" is checked on the Menu.
Thanks for the trainer.
Thanks for the tip.
However, for me, I never touched that setting in my entire life, so I had or have no idea if/why it would affect anything
best,
Cal
I've had some troubles myself but the following works for me:
unpause game
build something (while it's in progress hit the fast build)
recruit a unit (during progress hit fast recruit)
research same as above
only thing that stopped working for me is game speed.
Thanks for the info Valen, I tried that already and keep getting the failed message on all 3 of those. I tried it paused and unpaused and waited a few seconds before trying the cheats. To no avail I get failed every time. If I try the cheats enough times it crashes my game as well. So there's definitely something going on. Even turned off my antivirus and that did no good either.
🙁
Did you guys, forgot to run the trainer as administrator?
Because what you're describing match exactly what would happen if you didn't 🤔
Thank you for the advice B4Marc, unfortunately I already tried that with no luck. In fact if the trainer gets the failed message too many times the trainer crashes. No error at all it just disappears and shortly afterwards my game may crash as well. I am using Windows 8.1 and my account is an administrator account as well. So it's not a rights issue since the first few options work. Hopefully they take a look at it and figure it out, otherwise I guess I am stuck not using it.

Did you know that being administrator of your computer is not the same as running a program as administrator?
To run the trainer as administrator you need to: right click the trainer's executable (.exe) -> Properties -> Compatibility -> check the box where it say "Run this program as administrator" then click OK.
If you already did it, take a look at the "Event Viewer" under "Administrative Tools" and report back.

Hi B4Marc,
Thank you for the response. I appreciate the follow up. Yes I am fully aware of those differences. Sorry if my post confused the issue. I did use Compatibility Mode to run as Administrator (made sure to check it even under all users). I even went as far as trying to run the trainer under Windows 8 and it wouldn't even launch. I had to turn that off to get the trainer to start up again. Running the trainer as Administrator either via Right-Click Run as Administrator or setting the Compatibility Mode to run as Administrator made no difference either. It's really odd, the rest of the trainers that I got from here work flawless and I appreciate all the work that goes into making these. I know it's time consuming.
I had a thought about this, could it be a .NET issue maybe? I will check the admin logs when I get home later and see what it tells me.
Any idea what version of .NET is required? Maybe a repair of .NET is in order. My OS is Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit. I will see what I find out from the admin logs in the event viewer and post back if I find something significant.

The read-me file accompanying the trainer specify:
Troubleshooting
-------------------------------------------------------
Requirements:
Windows 7 64-Bit OS or later (32-Bit is NOT supported!)
.NET Framework Runtime 4.7.2 or above: dotnet.microsoft.com/download
.NET Core Runtime 2.1 or above: dotnet.microsoft.com/download
Hello B4Marc,
Thank you for the advice. I am going to download whatever the latest version of .NET is available for Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit.
More importantly, I found a boat load of these errors in the Application event log pertaining to the trainer:
Application: 66701-Mindslayer92-They Are Billions Trainer.exe
Framework Version: v4.0.30319
Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception.
Exception Info: System.ArgumentException
There was more to that error, but I didn't post it here since clearly .NET is having issues on my machine. So yeah there's definitely something going on with .NET on my machine and more importantly I don't have .NET 4.7 installed so I am going to get that now.
Thank you I appreciate the help and advice. We will see how it goes and I will report back my findings.
