I wanted to bring up the idea of an inventory editor for this game. This game gives me Diablo 2 vibes, and I remember modding my inventory with that game all the time.
Do you think it will be possible?

That would not be doable, for several reasons, first of which is the fact that you bring your gear into multiplayer, and this game has dedicated PvP in the multiplayer section, allowing you to edit any item as you see fit would as of such give you an insane advantage as you could edit your gear to give you stats beyond what is normally obtainable.
if by inventory editor you mean for crafting materials I can see your point since the grind would be atrocious.

Bring gear into multiplayer? Is there any confirmation of that? That is not how it works on PS4, they changed it awhile ago. Multiplayer (even PVP) on PS4 is based on sets that can be purchased via Glory, which has no use in single player campaign.

on the PS4 version you have Co-op which uses your currently equipped gear, and PvP that comes in 2 variants, 1 variant have you use what you are currently equipped with and another uses preset equipment, none of this has to be bought with glory, glory is only spent in the Hidden Tea house to buy items there or to reforge using Anima stones, a Reforge item whose skill lists give skills that are SPECIFICALLY for PvP and Co-oP missions and have absolutely no use in Single Player.

It doesn't matter if you can "EDIT" your gear. An item editor should still be in place for those that play the game "offline".
I myself have spent over 500 hours on the PS4 version. I sure as heck don't want to do all that grinding again for all my blacksmith materials. That was a pain in the ass.
An Item editor would let me enjoy WotD again.
Those that take their stuff online will have the deal with the consequences if the devs ban you.
