Hey this trainer isn't functional, upon activating if it doesn't immediately crash the game it does shortly after and as far as I can tell doesn't actually do anything for that short time.
Does the version still match with the game? if thats NOT the case then Please use the update notification system to report a game patch, update or to report that the trainer may not be working with the latest version of the game. If 3 or more reports have been filed, consider BOOSTING the priority of this title for a faster turnaround on the updated trainer.
Does the version still match? then something might be blocking it.
Please temporarily disable all antivirus, firewall and other security software including browser addons and extensions. Extract the trainer fully to your desktop or other location. Right click and run as admin on the trainer and make sure you have full permissions to the Windows temp folder.

VR Mode

HTC Vive
Click on the 'VR Mode' button. Trainer options will now be drawn as buttons. Activate the trainer as usual with your keyboard. Put your HTC Vive on and when you are ingame press the 'Menu' button on the hand controllers to open the steam overlay. At the bottom you can click on the 'Desktop' button and you can easily press options on the trainer with your hand controller now.
Oculus Rift
Click on the 'VR Mode' button. Trainer options will now be drawn as buttons. Open Oculus dashboard and click on 'Oculus Desktop', now press the buttons on the trainer to toggle the cheats.

As I can see there is no Steam version released for the trainer since November 06, 2017.
You could try downloading that one to see if that works
