The unlimited hippodrone chariot racing boost becomes pointless since once you activate that cheat, your opponents will all have unlimited boost as well, making race impossible to win.
Speaking from experience, you can win any race, even with this issue. Might just need to learn how to drive the chariot properly, and drift part of the corners.
Don't bother working too hard on an update yet. Steam users, including myself, are getting constant crashes after the new update, or a failure to load completely. Ubisoft is well aware of it. I would imagine a hotfix will be coming shortly. As of right now you have to turn off Antialiasing FXAA in Global settings in the Nvidia Control Panel for the hope it might work properly.
So just because the steam game version doesn't work the ones who play it from uplay have to wait?

They are both the same version and even if you bought it through Steam you need to run Uplay as well in order to play.
You can even play it through Uplay alone without running Steam although you bought it over Steam.
