I am placing the query into a separate post to make it easier to see and to let me check if asking for a potential trainer option request makes sense in the first place.
Issue: Apparently the Steam version of the "Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition Trainer" does *not* let you unlock Steam achievements. So I am wondering if there is any way for this to work by requesting a trainer update?
I have a small hope that the option for the Steam trainer
Unlock Debug Cheat Menu
is actually breaking the Steam achievement unlocking. I.e. the game knows that it's "official" cheat mode mechanism has been turned on and this naturally blocks achievement tracking. So a trainer version that does *not* "Unlock Debug Cheat Menu" (at all) might actually work with Steam achievements? Should I be correct, I would certainly want to request a trainer version for Steam that does not "Unlock Debug Cheat Menu".
Float Mode only for "Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition Trainer (WINDOWS STORE)"
The way Ori plays a Float Mode would be boundlessly valuable to get past several of the more tricky jump & run parts of the game, or when simply exploring. The Windows Store version of the CH trainer has this option available.
Is there any possibility of the Steam version of the trainer to getting a Float Mode as well? If so this is another request option I would ask for.
I have 30k+ RC points that need spending .
Thanks. AEon

Hi,
I write here to tell you that I have the same problem as AEon2001.
When the trainer is disabled the Steam achievements work, but when the trainer is activated the Steam achievements no longer work.
In addition, if the trainer is activated on a backup of the game, it is corrupted, that is to say that even if later the trainer is not activated, Steam achievements no longer work the whole game.
Thanks.

Our trainers are not written for achievement gathering.
Good for health, bad for education.

Hi Taurusplopp,
Thank you for your reply.
I fully understand that this is not in the functions of the trainer, but I still wish to inform you because it is the first time that it happens to me.
In any case I thank the whole team for their awesome work .

It may not be a primary function of the cheat happens trainers to help with achievement hunting, but it is something I massively use to help me get achievements. I would assume many other folks use them for this reason as well. No matter.
The question is to the programmer 0x90, if it is even possible to get achievements while running a potential trainer update. I would assume that for some reason this is not trivial.
(The only other games I am aware of that actively check for trainers running, were several games in the Serious Sam series (and IIRC some of the codemasters racing games)).
