I've downloaded the latest Nier: Automata trainer (23450) and I've allowed the app through my antivirus software. When I try to run the trainer, the initial Cheat Happens logo appears to verify it but then the app doesn't show up on the screen or on the taskbar.
I've checked the Task Manager and the trainer appears in the background processes but is not listed in the apps. I've also run several other trainers for other games and they work fine.
Thanks for any assistance.

Perform standard troubleshooting by disabling AV (sometimes uninstallation to completely rule it out). Many AVs do not properly inform the user of all the actions it takes even though you have set exceptions in your AV. Not all trainers are made the same and different techniques are seen as completely different programs to AVs.
If you do confirm the issue is with your AV you will need to contact their support to report a false positive error. Do note that not all AV vendors will correct signature databases based on user reports and instead will advise you to set an exception as a workaround (which you have demonstrated is not sufficient). If asked, you may submit your trainer to the AV vendor for analysis (not all AV vendors will offer analysis for signature database correction). You may also link your AV vendor to this topic to read this post.

What really helps: Windows edition & version and which security software?
