The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel Message Board  

This game does not see my Xbox One Controller, I am using the official wireless adapter. My controller works in ever other game I own. Was just wondering if I'm the only one with this issue.

Did you check your game settings? Does the game support a controller?

Game setting only allow you to change the button symbols displayed from k/b xbox or ps4. the controller actually works in the setting config utility but as soon as you press save & launch controller stops working.

Try hooking your controller via USB and not wireless, if that does not work I can not give you any more advice. Maybe some other users may be able to help.

I'm experiencing the same thing, although I'm using a PS4 controller in conjunction with DS4Windows that emulates the Xinput of Xbox controllers. But I don't think that matters. Works fine in any other game I own.

Even making a specific profile, assigning buttons to keys, does not work..

It's like the game is actively blocking any secondary input interference.

I tried messing around with it for over an hour, but I give up... guess it's key/mouse for now.

AHA! Thanks to BlackDragon's suggestion I tried running the game with the usb cord plugged in, and what do you know? Works like a charm. Even unplugging it after running the game and using it wirelessly now magically works.

Guess the game is just being a dummy.

Got it working, you have to register the controller in big picture mode, turn on Xbox Controller Configuration Support then click controller configuration on the right hand links section on the games library page and accept the new config.
