Trainer crashes on Starship Gemini 2, and others.
Hello.
I have a serious problem that I did not have just weeks ago. Many of your newer trainers instantly crash on my system. Latest one is the new Starpoint Gemini 2 trainer which, as the others have done, starts up the gui then crashes with a windows messages saying simply that the program has crashed. I have tried everything in the "read me" and undone all of my virus software, my firewall, checked my .net (it's fine) upgraded my distributable files and it still crashes, help please!
On another trainer, I asked @PWizard what was going on and he said it worked fine on his computer. I have no idea what's going on but something on my system does not like these newer (GUI) trainers! I hope it isn't just me, because I got a lifetime membership! If I can't use them, ugh... so please, help?

Very likely the only thing you have to add to your antivirus/other security software exclusions is the -Work- folder in this location -> C:\Users\YourWindowsUserName\Cheathappens\ and run the trainers always with admin rights.
All current trainers create some files in this location and a lot of security software flag the created tmp file there as malicious.

I have all my virus tech swithed off and rebooted. so, it can't be that. Or, I don't see how.
Files that help describe the problem: C:\Users\Robert\AppData\Local\Temp\WERCB27.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml C:\Users\Robert\AppData\Local\Temp\WER113C.tmp.appcompat.txt C:\Users\Robert\AppData\Local\Temp\WER114D.tmp.mdmp

I haven't asked for you to disable your security software but to add exclusions and try again. Please clear/wipe your browser cache/ Windows tmp folder as well as any scan history in your security software and reboot your PC again.
If you don't know how to add exclusions for files and folders please visit our AV Notification page, pick your product and read or watch how it's done. -> Link

That link is about viris warnings. I did not get one of those, I am getting CRASHES from all the newer trainers that use the GUI interface. I cannot be the only one. I am going to completely uninstall Microsoft Esssentials, because that is all I have running, and I did EXCLUDE these using file paths and even excluded the desktop! I'll report back if that worked.
Thanks.

We serve up over 100,000 trainer downloads PER DAY. If everyone's trainers were crashing that use our GUI then I'm quite sure you wouldn't be the only person complaining. Just because a security product doesn't tell you that it detected something doesn't mean that it didn't interfere with the process. If the process is interrupted for any reason by any third party app or security product then it can cause the trainers to crash.
We've seen ALL KINDS of software cause trainers to crash. Video capturing software like FRAPS, VPN software, improperly installed or corrupted/missing sound card drivers, specialized keyboard software, etc. Security products are by far the most common, but it really could be any number of things and you just have to narrow it down one by one or reinstall Windows from scratch and then see if they work and start installing your other software one at a time and see which one causes the crash.

I'm not looking for trouble! I really am stumped. I asked a simple question and got a very dismissive answer and now another from PWIZ who I consider a friend. I have tried everything my limited knowledge base has. Look, I'm an old man by your standards. I started playing games in 1985 on the old IBM XT with a whole 20 megabyte hard drive. The graphics were non-existent, or bad. Now, the games look so real it amazes me where they are heading.
Here are the trainers that are crashing for me right now.
Starpoint Gemini Sword Coast trainer Pillars of Eternity editor, (which gives me a long message which I cannot post here for some reason).
I'm just looking for some help, advice suggestions. I did pay a lifetime fee? I know you cannot help everyone, but maybe someone here will recognize the issue and answer me. That's what I am hoping for, not fights. I meant no offense. Most of Cheat Happens trainers here work fine for me, that's why I am so baffled and seeking help. I hope that's OK?
