Are you surprised it's $500? Are you gonna buy one? I honestly don't see the point, most games are Win 10 cross buy, so I'm not interested in the least. Sure it's slightly more powerful than a PS4 but the ps4 has way more games I care about. It'll be interesting if a PS5 is introduced tomorrow. Haven't heard of Dev kits being out in the wild, unlike the Xbox one X, I heard about dev kits a while back, and it looks identical other than no LED FPS counter..

All the future games shown at E3 are playable one the original Xbox One, this is for 4K console fans and people who don't have any care what they spend money on.

It's also a UHD Blu-ray player that can receive updates for future endeavors in that area which will be a more enticing selling point of it. It's a similar deal with the PlayStation 3's ridiculous price point but many saw it as the lowest risk Blu-ray player since updates to it were simple and frequent and treated it as a Blu-ray movie player that happened to play games.
Your bitterness, I will dispel

Yeah, I'll be purchasing the X version for sure, but not anytime soon though 😋 Where I live, even the Scorpio edition is expensive. Most likely after the presale, the regular edition will be at the same price. Buying a 4K tv is another expense I would have to consider because I don't see myself gaming on this console otherwise.
