Far Cry 5 Message Board  

After Primal anyone feel that this just isn't worth investing the time and money in? I've played them all, from the very first on PC, the different xbox editions, 2,3,4,Primal....even though it is going to be in the states for the very first time I just don't see it.

Anyone else feeling like its done?

I like the series. I skipped Primal though and #2 was just meh for me. I plan to get FC-5 first decent sale it's on. Yeap, there's been a lot of FC's for sure but there's a lot worse games out there. As long as there's a pretty good story, I'll stick awhile longer.

I stopped playing this franchise after looking at FC 4 trailers back then and got instantly bored by the 'new art, same gameplay, same UI on all of our games now' move and started to watch gameplay movies (cutscenes with a bit of gameplay) on Youtube.

I really loved the games at 3, but that was exactly what I felt, upgrade look, same story, same gameplay, nothing really new. I had heard something about a Wild West like game, THAT would be interesting, but this religious badguys in a town, feels more rinse repeat again.

I'm on the fence. I'll wait to see if Ubisoft is gonna keep being morons and blocking trainers after what they did with Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands. If CH reports the same nonsense is happening with FC5, then I'll pass for sure.

It also doesn't look very "new" or "fresh". SIGH

Yep, I couldn't watch "FAR CRY 5 Game-play Walk-through Part 1 Gamescom 2017 Demo" to the end without fearing for my sanity, the comments are made for 5 years old by five years old kids! The enemies look only at the dog, not even a glimpse to the main character in front of them...awful. Ubistuff is getting lost like any overgrown company that put its monies on the wrong path...they lose whatever good brain cells they had 🙁

I did some beta testing for the game. It was struck off the next phase of testing because I was very blunt in my assessment. The 'new' factors in this game are few and far between, to be honest. For serious gamers the game is more of the same. Developers will soon realise that modders - and the products they make - are often the voices of the those with real passion for realism and abstract humour. Elements that can change a game completely. I long for the day when developers, like Ubisoft, see what is needed in games (like FC5) where a greater level of immersion is available, or dare I say, needed. That being said, I've ordered it. I'll play it. I'll download a trainer once I'm done to add some humour and adventure. And, Mod willing... I can then remove the training wheels from the game - like nearly ever Far Cry title released (since FC2) - and make it more playable, more difficult, more challenging and quite simply more fun with the inclusion of gamer developed mods (the forgotten market).

Plan on getting this one skipped Primal so i am thankfully free of that bias towards the series for releasing that one.
