So after days of not being able to figure out why this wouldn't work, it worked!
I was too stupid to read the part where it says "Steam must be closed too, or it won't work!"

So those of you who still can't figure it out, be sure to close Steam! - or Offline Mode - Check your task manager as well to make sure it is actually closed.

would it be possible to add a function for simply adding XP instead of levels? i was thinking, the level function in the trainer does not work with the Tier 1 system, but maybe adding XP will.
say my current tier requires 10000 XP to progress to next tier. i set the XP the trainer provides to 9999, click the button, and now i only need 1 XP to go to the next tier.
would this be a viable idea?

I have the same problem. I used the trainer when game was released and it worked OK with instructions.
Today updated to latest trainer version and tried it and got game to crash after "trainer activated" sound. I have disabled internet (cable not attached) before activating trainer via main menu.
Still it crashes after trying to launch just like instructed in instructions. Some sync problem popped up as well. Uplay is in offline mode (did not matter Uplay offline or online as long as cable not attached when played game on release). I can't figure out what the problem is. The PC can't be online because I don't have another connection than cable and it's not attached to PC. Steam is not running.

Do you guys start Uplay in offline mode?
Disconnect your PC before you start Uplay and use the offline key for the trainer.

Uplay in offline mode did not matter at least when game was released as long as internet was disconnected. Have tried with Uplay in offline all the time and same result. No Steam service connected. Same crash with trainer offline key.
Gonna try this later again and report back.

EDIT2: got it to work with offline key. Had to boot PC without internet connected and use offline key. Weird. At game release was enough to disconnect internet, no reboot required.

crashes game every time now no matter if all are offline. reported.

Please use the update notification system to report a game patch, update or to report that the trainer may not be working with the latest version of the game. If 3 or more reports have been filed, consider BOOSTING the priority of this title for a faster turnaround on the updated trainer.

Good for health, bad for education.
