Having downloaded the trainer and followed all instructions to the letter, I cannot get the game to load. Most attempts simply result in the game crashing in the background without warning; other times it simply spins on an initial loading screen indefinitely. I can't even get to activating the trainer because it never reaches the main menu. As soon as I put the original game exe back it runs without issue. Is there any solution to this that anyone is aware of?
Are you replacing the GRW.exe or the rungame.exe?
You're meant to be replacing the rungame.exe (just in case you hadn't read that part)
Might be worth a look as they're both in the same folder.
I don't write posts much. Never really experienced a trainer not working for me. Always found a work-around. How-ever Can not get this trainer to work for me. Been a good few years since playing this game. I'm no noob' been CH member 12 years.
Have done all the Read=me has instructed..
Still Trainer say's 'Can not Fibd Game' ?
Trainer & Game are same Version. 4792145. (steam)
placed the file: rungame.exe into my steam/steamapps/common/wildlands Folder,.
Ran game without trainer ofc works fine.
Both my steam and Ubisoft are in 'Offline mode'
The basic's: AVG are deactivated (always my first prio to do)
If some lovely person can help me get this working again' (long time ago it worked without this issue) Would appreciate it allot.
Only just installed the game fresh' after 4 years.
I just tested this and it's working as intended. Here's what I did. (Was going to post a video, but I'm having issues recording.)
1. Install and run the game one time.
2. DL & extract the trainer and rungame.exe
3. Open local file location for game. I'm just using Ubisoft Connect here, so it was in DRIVE:/Program Files (x86)/Ubisoft/Ubisoft Game Launcher/games/Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands/
4. Drop rungame.exe into the local files directory, overwriting the file in that location.
5. Start trainer & game
6. Activate trainer at Main Menu. Works like a charm.
One thing you may want to do is verify the local files location in Ubisoft Connect. Odds are it's the same as Steam shows, but you never know. Never hurts to verify that you're putting the rungame.exe in the correct place. Hopefully this was some help. If not, I'm sure we can figure it out.

Also i just wish to check i am placing the rungame.exe into correct location?
Inside my Steam/steam-apps/common/wildlands Folder. I see there is a rungame.exe in there already so i am guessing i am overwritting that file.. ?

One thing to note i am using a Laptop, and unlike PC, Thsi game does not allwo me to minimize the Screen. So if i load the Trainer first, It is in the background i can't alt-Tab, or Alt-enter, to it. Not sure if that has any impact on the situation.
How does being on a laptop prevent you from alt-tab or alt-enter?
Yeah i thought that was strange, But this game Wildlands does not allow me to alt tab / alt enter out. So i can do other things ei like view other things ei the trainer,
I have searched google and yet to find a fix. Only allows me to go fullscreen / Borederless / Window mode. and non of them option allows me to click out of the game screen,
