Based on the feedback we received here:
Linkand the POLL conducted here:
Link...we have made a change to the requirements for new trainer requests. This change is what we felt was a good compromise for both sides of the debate. We may make further changes or additions based on some of the other feedback received which pertains to update requests, early access titles, etc at some point in the future.
PREVIOUS REQUESTS POLICY:
Any active premium member could submit a new request for any title not already on the requests list which required a "deposit" of 50 credits, which were either applied to the request if approved or refunded if denied. Once those newly requested titles were reviewed, the title was added to the request list in which any number of users could spend any number of credits towards the goal of that game.
NEW REQUESTS POLICY:
Any active premium member may request any title not already on the request list, but it now requires a "deposit" of 100 credits, which will be applied to the request once approved or refunded if denied. It now requires that at least 5 different members submit a new request for the same title before it will be added to the official requests list. No one will know how many people have or have not submitted a request for any particular title. This will help us to gauge the interest in titles BEFORE we add them to the requests list. Those new requests may stay in the holding queue for 3 months in which time if less than 5 people have submitted a request, it will be removed from the list and credits returned back to the user(s) that submitted the request. The title will not be retired and may be requested again at any time. This way users can either decide to put their credits towards a different game or just re-request the same title. Once a title has received requests from at least 5 people, it will be placed on the official requests list where any number of users may contribute any number of points towards the credit goal of that title.
MULTIPLE NEW REQUESTS SUBMITTED BY THE SAME USER WILL ONLY BE COUNTED AS 1 REQUEST so please don't submit the same request over and over thinking that it will make it 5. This may result in a penalty if I see this happening often.
Note that this policy may be overridden by a staff member based on external factors such as game popularity, release date, early access status, programmer workload, etc. Overridden means that a staff member may decide to place a title on the request list or even make a trainer regardless of the number of people that submitted a request for that title. The same rules apply, once any game is added to the official requests list for any reason, any number of users may contribute as many points as they want towards the goal.
This policy is effective immediately. So, if you want a trainer made for a game, please submit a new request, do not wait for someone else to request it or assume that 5 other people either have or will make the request.
Please note that our staff may create trainers for any game, regardless of request status, for any reason if we believe that the game is popular enough to warrant a trainer without waiting for the requests process to complete.
If there are any questions, please ask here and I will do my best to answer them.
