ran into this issue a while back with CH trainer for FOC. loaded up the game. disabled all AV and Malware programs..even Windows Defender...i hear the "trainer activated" at the main screen however when i start a new game or load a campaign the game crashes telling me that there is an exception fault and to retry or cancel. Is this trainer only for galactic games or skirmishes? any help on the matter would be great

Do you use our latest trainer with the latest/updated Steam version of the game?

Yes. the trainer that was release recently is the trainer i used. i just installed the game this morning becasue of the new trainer being released.. love the game,, even though its 10 years old.

Did you give the trainer Admin rights?

Try letting Steam verify the game files?

Does the game run ok without the trainer?

Any chance your AV is still running in the background, like maybe real time scanning?

Please provide your game .exe for comparison.

also try activating trainer after starting a new game, maybe assets need to be loaded first.

I just downloaded the game from Steam (GOLD EDITION), clicked on the play link, it asks me to choose Empire at War Gold or Forces of Corruption. I choose FOC. Activate latest trainer at main menu, start a new campaign, used the options and worked fine.

Ive done as much as i can to try and figure out what the issues is that im having with the game. so far the only answer i can come up with is that it is somehow related to the copy of FOC that i downloaded from STEAM. Ive verified all the files...reinstalled 14 times...run it with other trainers and found that none of the other trainers work either. ive given the trainer FULL admin access.. turned off any and all AV and anti spyware software. spent 16 hours alone troubleshooting this issue and still i can get it to work. thank you all for your advice and help. its the particular copy of the gold version of the game i bought on STEAM.
