uhh i think to get the cheats to work u have to press the buttons for the code fast. i mean really really fast.

you have to press them super quick and you have to be in the pause screen with the cursor on goals

Here are some hints for The Sims Bustin' Out!

Ready For Work.
Every time you go to bed, make a big list doing everything you need to do instead of just clicking them when the bus comes for you you should have a happy day!

No Clothes.
When you dress your sim up at the start of each game, you may realise that most of the clothes on there you don't see other sims wearing, this could be different if you answerd the door to all visitors, it then unlocks a special top/pants/skirt/shoes they're wearing! E.g: When you greet mum you get her slippers!

Happy Family.
You might think it's fun when there's only kids in the family, but it does atchually make it harder...
For example, whenever you go to get food, you cannot cook, only grab snacks or order pizzas (which will cost alot)!
Another one is that you don't get money comming in, just more going out, this is because you cannot get a job, you can only get at maximum $200 for your grades.

Babies.
You can only have babies on free play, this is great because you name it but you dont dress it! problem is that whereever you kiss your lover and have the baby is where it will always be until it's older, so try having the baby in it's room or in your room.

you dont pause the game to enter cheats and the difference between l and left is left is on the d pad and l is the left trigger

I know it's a little late, but i was looking around on message boards. ANYWAY you can move the babies in free play.First pause the game.Next, go to the item menu (Where you can buy stuff) And move the left thumbstick until the beam is over the babie.Press the "A" button and move it like an object to where ever the game will allow. I usually place the babie in a room,Put one Sim in there, and take out all the doors and cover up the exits(use the fill all motives cheat so your sim will last longer and won't die). Under the "happy family" you can get up to 1000 Simillions because all you have to do is Skip School and study on the computer all day until they won't anymore.TIP:IF you study long enough the game will say something along the lines of "the national school foundation has recognized (the name of your Sim) because of his great grades.Keep this up and The School for the gifted may be the next stop for you." And don't worry,You don't get sent away. Trust me I've tried.
