I just get an error message when I type that. Weird.

FYI, after the last " mark there should be a ) or a close parentheses.
For some reason the BBcode thinks it is a smiley face.

Trainer no longer works. It says it is adding credits, but the game removes them when you load a new area. All resource options are completely broken.

Dev tools don't have "add money" or "add resource" options.

The trainer for this game is clearly marked as 'retired' and will no longer be updated.

Take a look at page 2 of this thread.

Press enter, then type:
/give -p PlayerName -g Resource -a Amount for each resource

Also he talks about enabling infinite resources and enabling dev mode in later posts.

Hope that helps answer why the trainer is no longer active and why we can do everything the trainers does and more with simple commands.

Then there should be a new thread/message section for Dev + Command codes so people don't have to dig through multiple pages of less than clear comments, complaints, advice, etc.

If you retire a trainer due to an alternative tool or code being easier, then please do more to make that other tool/code more clear. This has been an issue on many other games as well.
