I honestly don't see a need for a trainer in these types of games.
I haven't played 8 but I do own 7 and have played these types of games since the 90's (OOTP, Hockey Franchise, etc). Most of them allow you to turn off features you don't want to use (salary cap, etc) and edit players in game so you wouldn't need a trainer for those aspects.
Adding points to game scores, adding to player end game stats (yards rushed, etc) would have a snowball effect in skewing all the stats and basically make them meaningless.
The only upside I could see to a trainer would be for achievement hunters looking to unlock some of the more annoying or time consuming achievements when you're not concerned about keeping the game statistically accurate.
