Not sure then. You might try Ubisoft support.
Won't I just get blown off if I tell them I'm trying to use a trainer?
I just downloaded the trainer. And since the trainer itself does the disable of the anti-cheat. I did not do the shortcut stuff.
So i start the trainer with admin rights. I get the prompt to select the .exe of Watch Dogs 2, and i get the splash of the game.
Right about now it starts Uplay, and when it does that i end up with a screen of Uplay asking for my game key. Which i dont have since its bought on steam.
Starting the game normal via steam opens up Uplay aswell but the game starts. I do not know if this problem is known to some people or not. I just thought i post it, and see if there is an solution.
EDIT:
I now also tried the way of the shortcut, and it comes down to the same problem i mentioned above.
Does the same thing happen with UPlay in Offline Mode?
