I posted a quick link you could use to check if your binary differs from mine (CRC32).

However, sounds like you're finally where I was describing. Good deal.

Yes, it'll probably confuse several people that's why I've been hanging around trying to assist - and made a more complete, original post earlier in this thread about it.

Basically, prevented from seeing the eac message due to uplay offline message instead, but not meaning eac isn't actually disabled - just you not seeing it due to 1 message limit at startup (again my best guees is just a code deficit; they didn't account for it).

@Aeterna85 - If you're seeing that in-game at the title page (I do) I'm guessing they failed to account for multiple title page messages. However, the arguments likely are processed. Typically that's just an array chewed to configure overrides.

I'm additionally running with the binary blocked from network traffic, though I did that to try and obliterate any trace of purple online bull**** anywhere on the map.

That didn't work, indicating they didn't even account for having a flag in their activity model to turn the damn icon and activation process off when no network is available to it. It simply can't do anything - my end goal achieved anyway.

Yeah those purple online markers are annoying, what's also annoying is the fact the devs are forcing those online missions down my throat every time I open the ded sec app on my phone. Their always bumping the online crap the top of the mission list even though I've marked them as read a million times. Not to mention EAC is disabled and the game is completely disconnected from the internet, with Uplay in offline mode, and they're still force feeding me their pointless online mission garbage. 🤔

It's pretty clear to me the direction this company is going with all their games moving forward, integrated single player Multiplayer always online co-op crap. I Don't understand why they can't just separate the online stuff from the offline single player completely. I guess it's all about trying to change the mindset of gamer's, to push them more and more towards always online gaming. And having as many people as possible connected to their spy servers and things like EAC. /sigh

@TREO_X - I'll try not to go to far OT by just saying; their business model like many (in everything regardless of industry) is chasing cash where it's goin (has been now) for quite some time.

At-least combined the community gets done what's needed, even if it's the absolute minimum some times. There's still a hell of a SP market with seriously deep pockets in relative terms, especially for this genre. I figure that's a reason work arounds still exist not requiring editing or injecting the damn thing.

I just fiugred out how to get the trainer to work. I just deleted that anti cheat folder including the setup and then I had launched the game normally with the -eac launcher and then I pressed continue game/start game if you didn't play already and press F1. It had worked perfectly

This game worked great for me last night, with the trainer and all! Come to try playing some more today, and now it doesn't load, all I get is the splash screen. When confirming the Steam prompt, I will get the splash screen for a few more seconds and then the watchdogs2 process kills itself. No logs or errors found.

Also tried uninstalling the easy anticheat service, removing all records of any associated files with the service, removing from the registry, going offline, setting steam and uplay both in offline mode and still crashes at the splash screen after confirming to continue in steam.

I have completed verifying the cache integrity in steam and it only failed on the deleted easy anticheat files, trying vanilla on a new save, still does the same crashing.

I've tried removing the game and installing, at a new drive location but still does the same. I'm at a loss. I guess it is time to request a refund from Steam.

I think I found a possible work around for my issue...

What I did was reinstall EAC as it should be, which I still had the same issue with it crashing at the splash screen. When it failed, I ran the game using the Steam created shortcut, which got everything starting, and when it started to load the fake login, I ALT + F4 out of the game, then started the trainer, following the given instructions, and it loaded correctly with the EAC error and all... hope this works for others as well, and good luck.
