Forget about objections and protests, guys. Ubisoft won't bother with any of those EVER, they will still release the game without a option to turn off the anti-cheat to go according to their security policy, I'm no longer interested in buying Watch Dogs 2 anymore due to the POS policy.

which is why I just won't buy their games, as I have said if they want to go down this micro trans cheat road then by all means, I just won't purchase their crap no matter how much they discount it. I lived without the first watchdogs, while people screamed and moaned that it didn't play very well at all on PC, have no want or need for this title or any other they make as long as this is their attitude.

I'm sure thats why they waited till release day to post their stance on banning people for enjoying the game in single player mode.

As an added bonus, GTA5, how old is it now? and witcher 3, what a year old? Is still outselling this day one title on steam, hope Ubi takes a good long look at that and enjoys every sweet minute of it.

At least Assassin's Creed Syndicate wasn't that bad when it comes to trainer cheating since it's a single player game, but Watch Dogs 2 might be the worst.

Come on, a game with a single player story other than multiplayer but with anti-cheat applied to that too? This game is not similar to The Division and it seems to me that Ubisoft is trying to play catch-up with Treyarch on creating a "clean and fair play" game than trying to one-up them.

    UPDATE: 11.28.16

Sorry guys, but we are not able to make a trainer for this game in its current state, and for several reasons. First, the game devs decided to add a very powerful anti-cheat system, designed for multiplayer games, to the offline single player component. In order to make a trainer, we would likely have to "crack" their anti-cheat system which would then also disable it for MP use and/or crack the game itself. We don't do those things here. It's very possible that a warez group or someone associated with one may release a trainer, but I would be extremely cautious using it as your account will likely be banned just like in Forza 3.

I would strongly suggest that you guys start a petition or thread over on the Steam forums and let them know that you would like a simple option to play the offline mode without the anti-cheat. Its not necessary and is hindering many people's ability to play the game. You should even suggest that you will either not be buying the game or asking for a refund via Steam because of this (if that's the case for you).

We will continue to look at it and see if there is anything we can do that won't either break the law or get your accounts banned or both.

Buying the game on Steam is also pointless since you still need a Ubisoft Account to play the game, just attempting to start it with the Steam account only might get you the message that you need to install Uplay or login to a Ubisoft Account to continue.
