i've just done that part and i't 1,3,5,2,4. you stand in the dark corner with the lantern in front of you. when entered it almost forms a pentagram.
start to the left or the right i tryed both and they both did not work

i've tried that and it also did not work for me. i assumed that the dark corner was the one farhtest from the lamppost(looked dark). i numbered each in a clockwise fashion from 1-5 (drew it out on paper, marked out where i was supposed to go). no mistakes, just didn't work. got a bright idea and tried the pattern with a DIFFERENT starting point (rotate numbers, do pattern until it works). for me turned out to be closest circle to the lamp was number 1.... wonder if it rotates between new games or different x-box ...?

i belive the pattern does rotate in different saved games. my little sister was having trouble at that same part...so i showed her how to do it and it didnt work...i had it written down and everything...her starting point was #5 on my game example; mine :hers.....5:1 1:2 2:3 3:4 4:5
it was really bizar...but it wasnt to different...but the song notes are the best to go by...lowest note first then highest then go down in the notes from there... like: 2-
