Okay Folks,
I have tried everything suggested to get this trainer going:
- I deactivated AV and FW and any other security programs (although I normally wouldn't do so - but with enough frustration, you sometimes even do such things...)
- I tried several versions of starting the trainer first, starting the game first, starting the trainer first, but stopping it after having started the game and starting the trainer over and over again...
- alt-tabbing between game, trainer and Windows-Surface, trying lots of small adjustments
and so on...
The last hours have been very frustrating to me. In the beginning, I decided to go for a lifetime account from ths site - not because I was expecting to need any other trainers from this site, but only to be updated for this very one game during the next years. I allowed the download manager to scan my PC and it correctly found, that I was using a "Steam" version of Civ6 (so it should be obvious, that this trainer would work also with this version of the game). But anyway, the trainer wouldn't work for me. Whatever I tried to make it run (see above).
Now I am no freak concerning modern computer systems any more. My big times were the 1980s ans early 1990s. I have been playing computer games since the late 1970s - incl. trainers - but in all those years, I never came across such a poorly made project like this trainer.
Sorry, but to me this trainer is nothing more than a big ripoff. Poor support as well as poor product quality. For what did I pay those 90 bucks?
I await some real substancial help!
Greetz,
Flo
P.S.:
My system runs on Win8.1 with an intel Core5 and has been (so far) enough for Civ6 - so this shouldn't be an excuse for the builders of this trainer.
we had 15000 downloads of the initial trainer..
FYI, I am running the game on windows 10.
the Trainer is looking for:
CivilizationVI.exe
or:
CivilizationVI_DX12.exe
I just tested the new trainer with both versions of the game, STEAM VERSION, with Windows 10. I have no idea if the version you have or windows 8.1 is installing something else..
The support here is just fine... also 390 people are using the trainer since we posted it, so if there was a massive problem they would be reporting it..
This game series has been notorious for having multiple .dll's and multiple .exe for various flavors of the game, and then when DLC comes out, it uses another set of .dlls..
We are trying to assist you but this posting is very negative and doesn't help us at all..
There is debug info that you could have posted, among other things..
best,
Cal
Anyone else getting "Game Not Found"?
Tried dx11, dx12, launched trainer before game, at menu, in game... but trainer is still unable to find game.
if you are running DX12 version and have the old trainer, it won't find it.
the new trainer we posted today should find either.
best,
Cal
Oh, and before you ask: whenever I press those buttons from the Num Pad, I always hear "Activated!" - but without any effect.
Just to make this clear.
this game injects and ejects the .dll
GameCore_Base_FinalRelease.dll
from main menu and between loads and saves sometimes..
therefore we have the initial option
numpad 1
which resets the trainer.
You may have to do this if you pressed F1 at main menu then load or start a game.
It might be easiest to activate the trainer once you already are in the game OR use the Numpad 1 reset trainer option.
Also, some options have specific instructions on how to use them. Also, later in the game, you may have to use options several times to add enough to make the option one turn or whatever.
We uploaded two videos of the trainer working
I hope this helps
best,
Cal
Previous version of this trainer worked fine but I am running into issues with this version. I have followed all instructions to the letter; no matter what I do , I do not get any response ('activated') when pressing a number on the numeric keypad, including trying to reset the cheat.
Win 10 >
Ran as Admin >
Win Defender terminated >
added cheat as exception to Bitdefender as virus as well as in firewall.
Pressing F1 in menu does trigger 'Trainer activated' message, but nothing after.
uninstall bitdefender. make sure numlock is on and that numpad keys are working outside of the trainer with notepad or something. try changing the hotkeys in the trainer to some other keys. try alt tabbing to the trainer to activate the keys. try activating the trainer with F1 after already in game instead of main menu.
