I had trouble all day yesterday but it finally started working after I cleared my cache and downloaded the trainer again. I also restarted
civilization 6 has not patched today.. the most current trainer posted is up to date. if you have not downloaded the civ trainer in the last 12 hours, then download the latest trainer.
any problems with the trainer supposedly stopping working after playing 1000 turns or 50 hours into the game are impossible for us to check unless we have savegames..
best,
Cal

Hi Caliber. Firstly, thanks for the trainer!
I have also encountered some difficulties with the trainer function - mostly just the money option and 99 moves. The latter is no problem at all, as you just need to move 1 tile to test that it's working, and if it isn't try again. The money one is a bit confusing though. I have found that when it doesn't work, waiting until the end of your turn can help. What I mean is when there are no pending actions being offered by the game for your current turn. That's what I've been doing in my current late game, and it works very reliably.
I don't suppose there's any way that you could add the ability to add a particular tile to your civilization? Man it would help with tidying up some of my games. One way you might be able to 'cheat' this functionality is being able to summon the great merchant Marcus Licinius Crassus. His ability is to annex a tile to the nearest city. I earned him once and it was a huge help. Being able to create more on demand would be epic.
