Far Cry 4 Message Board  

Hi,

Played FC4 for the last five days just fine with the trainer doing its thing but today (17th October 2016) all it does is crash the game. After it's crashed once then simply hitting F1 causes the game to crash instantly on any subsequent game reload/retry. If I go to UPlay and ask it to verify the FC4 game files then the next time after that the game on start-up re-installs some netplay files and after that the trainer will actually run without crashing on F1 but only long enough to try a few of the cheats on such as 'inf. ammo' and 'no reload' but as soon as I start playing again it will crash the game again. Has something changed somewhere? I haven't installed or done anything different to my PC, and as I said the Trainer ran fine for five straight days prior to today. I've followed all the advice about how to get the trainer working but none of it's made a difference, so I'm beginning to think either MS or UbiSoft has altered something enough to interfere with the trainer functioning properly. It's really quite frustrating as I just fancied playing this game again after a year or so away from it.

Could be your AV, firewall or other security software interfering with it, especially Windows Defender. The game may have patched, who knows. But so far no other complaints. You can try using system restore to go back to when it was working fine and see if that makes a difference.

Don't use Defender, and my AVG has got it Excepted (as I do with all the Trainers), and besides, as I said, it's worked for five days prior without problem. I think I'll start the game over and see if that makes a difference (though I'm not sure why it would, but ya never know). I'm not sure if I'm supposed to disable it before I save and exit (I've not had to do that with any other trainer of yours for any other games - then again, this is the first and only one I've got with a actual disable option anyway).

As for no one else complaining, well it's quite possible there's only a few of us still playing it as it's a pretty old game now, so maybe it will take awhile?

Confirmed, the trainer freeze FarCry4.exe (v. 0.1.0.1) as soon as F1 is pressed while in-game, used "Far Cry 4 Trainer 1.10.0 (RETAIL+STEAM+UPLAY)"(April 16, 2015) on Win 7 64 and up-to-date Steam/Uplay

Cheers for that, glad it's not me or my set-up going AWOL and that something deeper's afoot. I hope it can be sorted, it's still a fantastic game.

You're welcome!...but you should use:

"TRAINER OUT OF DATE?
Currently there is 1 report of the latest trainer needing an update. File a Report."

on the trainer download page.

The "trainers makers" need at least three(3) reports before doing anything, thus I encourage anyone that did try all the toubleshooting steps to go ahead and report,....Yeah 🙂

Okay, added my name to the "It's not working" page as you suggested. Not sure if I'd really miss 500 points as I've never used them anyway
